A more relaxed adventure suitable for families, couples, and nature lovers. You will trek through the shaded tropical rainforest, spot wild monkeys, and camp at the Senaru Crater Rim. This spot offers the best panoramic view of Segara Anak Lake and the New Volcano (Gunung Baru Jari) without the extreme physical demand of the summit climb.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 Senaru Village – Senaru Crater Rim

Highlight: Tropical Rainforest, Wildlife & Sunset over the Lake.

  • 07:00 AM: Pick up from your hotel. Drive to Senaru Village.
  • 07:30 AM: Breakfast at our basecamp and registration at Rinjani Trek Center (RTC).
  • 08:00 AM: Start trekking. The first few hours are through thick tropical rainforest. Keep an eye out for the Black Leaf Monkey (Lutung) and Grey Macaque.
  • 12:00 PM: Lunch break at Pos 2 (Montong Satas - 1,500m).
  • 16:30 PM: Arrive at Senaru Crater Rim (2,641m).
  • 17:30 PM: Enjoy one of the most famous sunsets in Indonesia with views of the lake, the active volcano, and the majestic summit.
  • Meals: Lunch, Dinner.

Day 2 Sunrise – Descent to Senaru

Highlight: Golden Sunrise & Relaxed Jungle Walk.

  • 06:00 AM: Wake up to watch the sunrise rising behind the summit of Mount Rinjani.
  • 07:00 AM: Enjoy a hot breakfast with a view.
  • 08:30 AM: Pack up and begin the descent back to Senaru Village via the same jungle route.
  • 13:00 PM: Arrive at Senaru Village (Rinjani Trek Center).
  • 13:30 PM: Farewell lunch at the basecamp.
  • 14:30 PM: Transfer to your next destination (Senggigi/Bangsal Harbor/Airport).
  • Meals: Breakfast, Lunch.
