✈️ Flights from Amsterdam (AMS)

There are no direct flights to Lombok (LOP) from Europe. The best routes for Dutch travelers are:

Via Jakarta (CGK): Fly KLM or Garuda Indonesia to Jakarta, then take a domestic flight (2 hours) to Lombok.
Via Bali (DPS): Fly to Bali, then take a 30-minute flight or a fast boat (Padang Bai to Bangsal) to Lombok.
Via Singapore (SIN): Singapore Airlines offers connections to Lombok.

🛂 Visa Requirements

Dutch citizens (and most EU nationals) can obtain a Visa on Arrival (VoA) at Lombok Airport. Cost is approx. €30-35 (IDR 500,000), valid for 30 days and extendable once.

☀️ Best Time to Visit

April – November (Dry Season): The best time for trekking Rinjani. July and August correspond with Dutch summer holidays, so booking in advance is essential.

🔌 Travel Essentials

Indonesia uses 2-pin sockets (Type C/F), same as the Netherlands. Bring Reef-safe sunscreen and sturdy hiking boots if you plan to trek.
